The N.E.D. Ingredient Promise
Truly Clean Means Something to Us.
At Not Enough Dogs Barkery, clean ingredients isn't a marketing phrase. It's the standard behind every treat we make.
We believe that when you're making something for the dogs you love, the quality of the ingredients matters. That's why we're intentional about what goes into our recipes and just as intentional about what stays out.
Our Oats Start Organic
Every N.E.D. treat begins with certified organic, gluten-free rolled oats, which we grind ourselves into oat flour.
We specifically choose certified organic oats because conventional oats may be exposed to glyphosate during agricultural production. We don't believe an ingredient with that potential exposure belongs in the treats we make for our dogs when a cleaner option is available.
So we choose better.
We don't purchase inexpensive, pre-made oat flour simply because it would be easier. We start with the quality of oats we want, and we make the flour ourselves.
More work? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
Certified Organic Coconut Oil. Always.
Our recipes are made with certified organic, raw, unrefined coconut oil.
It's another ingredient where quality matters to us. We intentionally choose a minimally processed, high-quality oil rather than compromising for a less expensive alternative.
Because "good enough" isn't part of our recipe.
Thoughtfully Sourced From There
The rest of our recipes follow the same philosophy.
We prioritize organic ingredients and thoughtfully selected locally sourced, non-GMO, clean ingredients whenever appropriate for the recipe.
Our ingredient lists are intentionally simple and recognizable. Every ingredient should have a reason for being there.
No unnecessary fillers.
No artificial flavors.
No artificial colors.
No unnecessary preservatives.
Just thoughtfully selected ingredients made into really good cookies for really good dogs.
One Thing We Won't Compromise On
As N.E.D. grows, there may be easier ways to make our treats.
There will probably be cheaper ingredients.
There may be opportunities to change a recipe, reduce a cost, increase a margin, or make production faster.
We won't do it at the expense of our standards.
We will not lower the quality of our ingredients or quietly change our recipes simply to make a cheaper cookie.
The ingredients we choose today are the ingredients we believe in. They're what we feed Emmy Lou, Riddick, Linus, and the rest of the N.E.D. pack and they're the standard we'll hold ourselves to when making treats for yours.
If We Wouldn't Feed It to Our Dogs, We Won't Make It for Yours.
That's our ingredient promise.
No shortcuts. No compromising for a better margin. No choosing what's cheapest when we believe there's a better option.
Truly Clean Ingredients. Made with Intention. Small Batch.
Every dog. Every batch. Every time.
